A Life Less Ordinary

Today has been a really crooked day. I was pretty high most of the day in LCC from my Vicodin and I did absolutely nothing in class. Which sucks, cause there is a lot to finish up now. Only two more weeks for crying out loud! Regardless, I was just walking dazed and sleepy. I got to show Mrs. Bausman my website though, as well as a few the students. I don’t think I would have shown them had I not been under the influence. Anyway, they liked them.

It’s just weird for everybody to finally see, “Fuck My Face” and “The Gimp” on a screen at school no-less. I remember having to explain myself about “Fuck My Face” (which as usual, was a big success). Good thing for mutilated cocks. Anyway I forgot what I said, hope it wasn’t too obvious that I was on something.

By the way, in the morning I got an e-mail from a picture-editor who works for Russian magazine, CEO. He told me that in an upcoming issue they’re going to have an article on the record industry, and one of the things mentioned will be Trent Reznor’s “Ghosts I-IV” release. They needed an illustration and he asked kindly if they could use one of my TR drawings. They’d give me credit and everything. I immediately e-mailed him back saying they had my permission to use the drawing and asked them if they could put my e-mail address in parenthesis next to my name when they published it. So far, it looks like a done deal.

Pretty wicked, huh? Also, today my mom got another tattoo on her back. This time it’s one she designed herself (it’s true, I had nothing to do with it). It’s got me and Jaime’s names, around a heart with a key dangling in the bottom. You know, “the key to my heart” sort of thing? Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean. Here’s a picture of it:

Anyway, after I got back from class, I crashed out the entire night. Like, OMG.. totally lame ass. I have to finish my powerpoint and I am far from it. *gulp*

Oh yeah I forgot, GTA4 comes out tomorrow. I hope Jaime gets it. Cause I want to play it!! Oh, the MSI disc comes out too. I’ll going to go out to get that one.

Buh-bye for now kiddos.

Cloverfield Dee Bee Dee

So, I put on my Cloverfield DVD that I bought yesterday, and it was so weird.. I totally forgot that the "Coney Island" clips were shot on "April 27" which happens to be today. Ha ha. Totally unintentional. I guess it added more to it.

I don't think my parents liked the movie at all. Actually, seeing it again didn't really rev me up like first time I saw it. Maybe it's cause I was with all the J.J. Abrams fans. (I mean, everybody went completely bat-shit crazy when they showed the Star Trek teaser trailer.)

Regardless, I don't know.. maybe I'm stupid, but I can't FUCKING see the "thing" (AKA satelite) falling from the sky in final scene in Coney Island. OMG, you all have to be fucking lieing. I can't see it. Please, anyone you there, (perhaps you JC?) show me picture of how it looks cause I gotta tell ya.. I can't effin' see it.

I must be blind. Which would explain so much. But anyway, it's been a nice day. It's raining! Finally, a decent Sunday that isn't so god damn pathetic.

Well, I gotta go draw a naked person and work on my Nine Inch Nails Power Point presentation.

Oh wait, before I forget. I just thought I'd mention something rather amusing. A couple of months ago, I kinda started a small "online show" on YouTube with my friend Pedro, who's a dumbass. The videos involve him doing really dumb things in public or more importantly, the Laredo Community College. Anyway, the point to this was, some of the powers-that-be over at LCC have discovered the videos (what can I say, I put flyers in the bulletins at school of course it was going to happen). So, luckly for me, the don't know me and both Pedro and Juan never dropped my name when talking to some of these people, despite this little baby being my pet project. Well, from what I got.. the school is okay with the videos or whatever, just as long as I got "LCC" or "Laredo Community College" off the tags. Which, I of course did.

Yes, I'm a sellout. I sold out to the man, but whatever. I just didn't want them coming down on both Juan (not you JC, another Juan) and Pedro who both work there.

It's been a pretty popular account down here in Laredo.. or around our inner circle.

So, here's the account in question. It's called, "Lowering Standards with Pedro", be prepared to lose some braincells kids!

Welcome To A World Without Rules

Man, I gotta get me that poster. So awesome!!

Well, today is Emmanuel's birthday so we're gunna be hangin' out at AJ's tonight. Hope the band isn't obnxious or too loud. Should be a lot of fun. Let's see who shows up.

Buh-bye.

TAMIU Senior Show

Tonight was TAMIU Senior Show. It's a show of the graduating Art Majors of TAMIU. Above of is a picture of me with my friend Natalie. She had an entire wall devoted to her work. It was a pretty nice show overall.

We got to talk about several things about art and stuff. She takes art really serious, and I slowly I'm learning more and more about art and its importance. I think this is why I gotta keep going to shows like these. I enjoy talking to people who are actually going out there and taking chances. She was saying that it was the frist time any of her family has really seen her artwork because a lot of it is really personal to her. A lot like the way I am with my peices.

But like I said, slowly I am breaking away from my shell. ..and I like it. Ever since I decided to open up my MySpace account, it's just been so great. In a lot ways it's becoming very liberating. My artwork has been able to gain an entirely new audience and the feedback comes quick everybody who didn't know me, sees my work and suddenly they're blown away! It's amazing. What I do like is that mostly if not all the people in my "friends space" are people that I know from school or whatever, so it totally gives them a chance to seem more of me than what I do put out in person. So, even though I still take sleeping pills to go to sleep, my sleep has been more peaceful. Like suddenly, my demons are not as attached to me as they once were.

I like that. I can't wait for me and my crew to go crash and hit up more art shows around the area. Oh yeah, there was free wine and beer at this show too, so things got funny. haha.

Happy Earth Day everyone!!

Okay, so things seem to be going okay for me at the moment. All my studying last night payed off because I got a 96 on my Computer Class Exam! :D That means I missed only two questions (god dammit), but I'll take me some good grades anyday.

Oh yeah, I CAN NOT stop listening to the new Mindless record. OMG.. it is so fucking addicting. It's all I spin in my Zune. Shuffled, inorder, my favorite ones, just nothing but MSI for me. I even burned me a copy so I can listen to it in my car EXTREMELY LOUD!! To be honest with you all, I was actually losing some faith in my boys and girls of teh Mindless Self Indulgence. I wasn't planning on buying the new album cause I felt that "Mastermind" sounded to overproduced and the fact that a handful of the songs that appear in "If" had been in previous live albums, DVDs, or pro-shot YouTube clips for several years now.. I felt it was kind of a cop-out. I mean, all this time on the new album and prepping up just to finally hear the studio recording of "Revenge" (which premired on "Alienating Our Audience" back in 2002)? On top of that they kept putting out more remix albums than Trent Reznor did the for Fragile, so I was iffy. Oh, not only that but the edited version of "If" includes the song "Uncle" which appears in their DVD "Our Pain, Your Gain". But alas, in spite of all of this.. the record is fantastic! I can't get enough of it I tell ya! ..if it's in Best Buy next week I will be picking it up. Hopefully the CD/DVD one since.. ya know.. their limited and they include all the artwork by the creator of Invader Zim.

So yeah, if you haven't heard it. Download it already!!

Speaking of downloads. Boy it's been great to be a Nine Inch Nails fan these past couple of years, hasn't it? A new song, "Discipline" (this one has words kiddos) premired in radio stations all over the US today. (Crazy Trent and his suprises.) Anyway, as usual, caught everybody by suprise. So, TR has posted a blog about the new song. We'll all be able to download "Discipline" for FREE later on tonight or maybe as I'm writing this. Go, go check! Should be great.

I gotta study for a test in my Painting class (how stupid..), so I have to do that. I'm going to open a new photo album exclusively to my MySpace account entitled, "Works in Progress" later on in the week. So for those of you with an account you'd be able to see all the drawings I have been working on these past several months/years. Updates to that will not be mentioned here in the blog.

Anyway, hope you signed some NRDC petitions, it's Earth Day! :D

Have fun everyone. I'm going to put my nose in a book now.

Just another Nancy Boy

It's Brian Molko! :D This is my "final painting" for my Painting class. I don't really like that class much.. it's to boring and I hate listening to Soulja Boy or Snoop Dogg's "Sensual Seduction" song! Argh!

Needless to say, I'm having fun with this assignment. Obviously I am far from finished. I also don't like how the photo came out. Brian isn't suppose to be peach, but rather pink. Also the purples in the background came out red for whatever reason. You can't see it well on this picture (since I covered it with the reference photo) but I added a wing on his side. My only small grip is that I made the colors to MSI-ish. It sorta doesn't compliment the music nor him. But fack it. I dun care.
